Skovtroldeløbet 2026

Welcome to the Skovtrold Run, an inclusive and welcoming race open to runners of all speeds. This endurance challenge takes place within Krabbesholm Forest, offering participants stunning natural scenery as they navigate its winding paths.
The route is approximately 4.35 kilometers long, with a total elevation gain of around 80 meters per lap, making it both challenging and rewarding for those who push themselves to complete multiple rounds. Runners can choose from different start times: 8 AM, 10 AM, or 1 PM, each offering unique advantages depending on your goals.
Competitors aiming to be crowned the "Skovtrold of the Year" must adhere to specific time limits based on age and gender classifications. The race is designed for both competitive athletes and casual runners who wish to enjoy the beautiful forest setting at their own pace without participating in the official competition.
Post-race, a celebratory dinner awaits participants at Det Italienske Bøfhus i Skive from 7 PM onwards. To secure your spot, contact Keld Vejlgaard by phone or register online ahead of time to avoid delays on race day. Entry is free for members of local clubs Skive AM and Pinen og Plagens; others pay a participation fee of 100 DKK.
Medals are awarded based on the number of completed laps within designated age categories, with bronze medals going to those who complete four rounds or more, silver for seven laps, and gold for ten or more. Historical records indicate that Annfinn Halsagaard holds the record at 18 laps (approximately 78 kilometers), set in 2014.
On-site facilities include a results board, music, coffee, water stations with fruit and energy bars, as well as an option to purchase beer for runners. Race organizers will also offer medal engraving services near the start/finish area throughout the day.
This event promises not only athletic challenge but also camaraderie among participants and spectators alike in one of Denmark’s most picturesque settings.
