The starting point and finish line for each race are carefully chosen to highlight both the rugged beauty of Alaska’s landscape and its rigorous trails.
For those who wish to experience multiple challenges, weekend passes allow runners to tackle a variety of distances that test endurance and agility across diverse terrains like Government Peak and Halibut Tail Ridge. The event supports local community initiatives and draws participants from around the country for an annual tradition now in its fifth year.
The course traverses steep climbs with significant elevation changes, making use of established trails such as Frostbite Ridge and Blueberry Knoll-to-Government Peak Trail.
