Welcome to Silver Creek Sprint Enduro at Silver Creek Bike Park in Berea, Kentucky! This exciting race offers something for both seasoned racers and newcomers. With multiple categories including Pro, Expert, Beginner, Junior, as well as mixed gender divisions for Hardtail and E-bike riders, there's a perfect fit for everyone. Costumes are encouraged, adding to the festive atmosphere of this event. The sprint enduro format ensures that timing is focused on downhill sections only, making it thrilling yet accessible. Transfers between stages are shorter than in full enduro races, reducing overall race time and offering more action-packed segments. Racers will be timed at every stage's top by a trail marshal who will give the radio command to start from below. This ensures accurate timing for each segment of the course, which includes five challenging yet manageable stages: - Jane: 0.51 miles - Tarzan: 0.52 miles - Gobbler’s Gulley: 0.4 miles - Root Canal: 0.4 miles - Monster Mash: 0.7 miles The race day schedule is designed to be both efficient and enjoyable: 8:30 AM - Day of registration opens at the main parking lot. 9:00 AM - Trails open for pre-riding, allowing racers to familiarize themselves with the course. 12:00 PM - Racing commences from the top of the mountain. Participants will navigate through each stage, experiencing Silver Creek Bike Park's diverse terrain and technical features. 4:00 PM - The race concludes as riders head down to the pump track for a post-race meal. 5:00 PM - Enjoy games and celebrate with fellow competitors before the awards ceremony. Berea is a small city in Kentucky's Bluegrass Region in southern Madison County about 15 miles south of Richmond and 45 miles south of Lexington. The community has experienced major population growth: 38% from 2000 to 2010, and 16% to 2018.
