Shreve Island Paws & Claus Dog Dash 5K & Fun Run

Lace up, leash up, and light up the season at the Paws and Claus Dog Dash 5K! Dress in your most festive fit,
bring your pup in holiday style, and dash your way to prizes, cocoa, and Santa photo ops—all while supporting
Shreve Island Elementary.

Shreve Island Elementary School PTA is hosting a 5k race, 1 mile “Dashing Doggy Fun Run” to raise
money for our school's playground, classroom supplies, and incentives for our hard-working students
and teachers! There will be free coffee and hot chocolate as well as food vendors on site for post-race
fellowship with friends and community members.

Don’t forget to wear a festive fit and snap a photo of your crew and pup with Santa! Photo ops will be available before and after the race.

Most Festive Fit Awards will be given to Best Dressed Kiddo, Adult, and Doggy Duo (think Santa and Rudolph or The Grinch and Max!)

BULLDOG 5K

The 5K is a 3.1 mile run initially winding behind the school before continuing through the Shreve Island neighborhood. The course will begin and end at the faculty parking lot at the front of Shreve Island Elementary School. It’s flat on wide streets with a few turns and one U-turn back to the school. Hydration stations will be set up at each mile marker. The 5K course will be timed.  We politely ask that any strollers used on the 5K course start behind the runners/walkers and be used at a walking pace. 

Fun Run & Doggy Duo

The Fun Run will begin promptly at 8am and is 1 mile in length. The course will begin and end at the faculty parking lot at the front of Shreve Island Elementary School. This is open to ALL runners who would like to participate. It will be untimed. This course is intended for individuals to participate at their comfort and ability level. No awards will be given for the Fun Run. Strollers are allowed on the Fun Run course. Also includes: t-shirt & Doggie Bandana if signed up for the Doggy Duo.. Doggie bandana available for purchase for an additional purchase via Cheddar Up.

Stipulations regarding pet attendance/entry: Please only bring animals that are well-behaved around other animals and people. All animals must remain on a leash at all times (maximum 6 feet). NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES, they can be hazardous in a crowd.
Proof of rabies vaccination required. (Current rabies tag on the collar is sufficient.) Female dogs that are in any stage of heat are prohibited.
Also, please be kind and don't leave poop behind! You must remove any of your animal's waste!

Packet Pick Up Will Be held at Run Wild 9462 Ellerbe Rd, (Next to Kroger)

Friday, Dec 12th @ 10:00am -5:30pm &

Race Day at Race Site starting at 7:30am.
