About the Event

Join Running Events Devon for an inclusive running experience like no other at our Shizaru Challenge Day 1, set to take place on Saturday, October 7th, 2027. This unique event operates under the "TUGG" system—Turn Up Get Going—which means you can arrive anytime between 7:30 AM and 2:30 PM but must complete your run by 3:30 PM.
The course offers a scenic route along an old disused train line, measuring precisely 5.3 kilometers for each out-and-back lap on tarmac terrain. This accurately measured road race is designed to accommodate all abilities—whether you're walking or running, the event welcomes everyone who finishes within the designated timeframe.
Participants can choose their own pace and distance, from a single lap to as many as fourteen laps if time allows. Regardless of how far you go, every finisher will receive an official medal marking your achievement on this historic path.
With limited spots available, it's best not to delay securing your entry. If the event reaches full capacity, latecomers will still be rewarded with a custom-designed medal from our selection on that day.
This is more than just a race; it’s a celebration of personal challenge and community spirit in one of Devon’s most picturesque settings. Come experience the beauty and history as you explore this unique course at your own pace.
