About the Event
Hana Cycle Club is running its sixth Shimanami tour, and for the first time the group meets in Imabari on Shikoku. Day 1 starts in Imabari, visits Mt. Kameroku and Oyamazumi Shrine, then crosses by ferry to Iwagijima for about 80 km of riding. Day 2 follows the Yumeshima Kaido, including the Sajima stretch known as the U-turn Blue Line, with a stop for lemon picking, then continues via Innoshima and Mukaishima to JR Onomichi Station, where the 45 km tour disbands. Riders sample local Seto Inland Sea food along the way. Entry is open to men and women, and can be for Day 1 only, Day 2 only or both days. A bicycle transport option is available for those joining from Sapporo.
