Shetland AAC U10 & U12 Summer Open 2026 - Sponsored by Jamieson's of Shetland

Shetland Amateur Athletics Club is excited to present its Under 10 and Under 12 Summer Open for 2026, proudly sponsored by Jamieson's of Shetland. This unique multi-event competition offers young athletes the chance to showcase their skills in a fun-filled day packed with sprinting, longer distance running, shot put, and long jump.
The registration deadline is set for Monday, August 31st at noon, with an entry fee of £8 per athlete. A key aspect of this event is community engagement; each participant must bring along a volunteer to assist in the smooth operation of the day's activities. Without your support as volunteers, these events would not be possible.
On the day itself, athletes will gather for registration at 10:30 AM and participate in a mass warm-up session led by coaches starting at 10:45 AM. The competition then unfolds with athletes rotating through all four disciplines according to their age group's schedule. This format ensures that every athlete experiences each event while fostering camaraderie among competitors.
At the conclusion of the final rotation, medals will be awarded to all participants in recognition of their efforts and achievements throughout the day.
