The 2026 Wulang Qingyang Shennongjia Mountain Track and Field Race is set to take place on May 16-17th, 2026, in the mystical landscapes of Shennongjia, Hubei. Organized by Shennongjia Wilderness Partners, this event challenges runners to navigate the diverse ecosystems of a UNESCO World Heritage site. With a range of distances including the prestigious Gold League sprints and the high-altitude 80KM ultramarathon, the race serves as a premier destination for trail enthusiasts looking to witness the extraordinary beauty of the "Mountain Palace." Course Details and Participation

The Shennongjia region offers a technical mountain environment that requires both endurance and careful preparation.

- The Terrain: Runners will encounter the dense forests and rugged peaks of Hubei, navigating trails that are part of the prestigious Golden Trail National Series (GTNS).
- Mountain Palace (80KM): This premier distance starts in the early morning darkness at 3:00 AM, demanding high levels of self-sufficiency and mountain experience.
- Gold League (28KM): Offered in two waves, Group A targets competitive speed with a strict 6-hour limit, while Group B allows for a 9-hour journey through the scenic foothills.
- Elite Channel: A specific registration portal is provided for Elite Players seeking to compete for top honors and series standing.

The event is supported by a robust logistical network, ensuring safety and comprehensive support for all registered participants.

- Cost of Entry: Standard registration is priced at 498 CNY per person, granting access to race services and event swag.
- Volunteer Program: The race is heavily supported by a team of registered volunteers and mountain rescue experts who manage aid stations and safety checkpoints.
- Registration Window: Official registration for the 2026 event closed on March 31, 2026, following a peak recruitment period for volunteers and staff.
- Technical Partner: Timing, grade inquiries, and digital registration are managed through the Saihuitong platform to provide professional-grade accuracy.

Shennongjia Forestry District is a county-level administrative unit in northwestern Hubei province, People's Republic of China, directly subordinated to the provincial government. It occupies 3,253 square kilometres (1,256 sq mi) in western Hubei, and, as of 2007 had the resident population estimated at 74,000. On July 17, 2016, Hubei Shennongjia was listed as a World Heritage Site, the 50th World Heritage Site in China, because of its exceptional floral and faunal biodiversity and its protection of many rare, endangered, and endemic species.
