She Strides Metric Marathon

The She Strides Metric Marathon offers runners an exclusive opportunity to conquer the trails around Hebden Bridge with its unique and challenging course, covering exactly 26 kilometers through picturesque moorland terrain. This race is designed for both newcomers stepping up from half-marathons as well as seasoned trail runners looking for a new adventure.
The route begins in the heart of Hebden Bridge before ascending to a steep climb that sets the tone early on. Once past this initial challenge, the course levels out and takes you across rolling moors dotted with iconic landmarks such as Stoodley Pike. The path winds through sandy trails and rocky terrain until reaching stone slabs near reservoirs, where runners will enjoy a brief rest at the White House pub before turning back towards Hebden Bridge.
The well-marked route ensures that participants can focus on enjoying the stunning scenery rather than worrying about navigation. With flags guiding your way throughout the course, you'll have plenty of time to take in the breathtaking views and appreciate the natural beauty surrounding you.
Supportive amenities like a secure baggage store at the start/finish area provide peace of mind for runners who want to leave their belongings safely while they tackle this challenging distance. Registration takes place at The Excited Goat Coffee Lounge on Crown Street in Hebden Bridge between 7:45 am and 8:15 am, with a start time promptly set for 8:30 am. All finishers will receive commemorative medals to celebrate their achievement.
