Sharlie Shuffle

The 9th Annual Sharlie Shuffle will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Ponderosa State Park in McCall, ID. This timed loop event offers 12‑hour and 6‑hour options, with runners completing as many 4.79‑mile loops as they wish on a clockwise course featuring rolling trails, rocky sections, flat trails, stairs, boardwalks, single‑track, double‑track, and a small amount of pavement. A shorter 2.18‑mile loop is available during the last two hours of each race. All proceeds go to trail work and advocacy via Endless Trails, a 501(c)3 non‑profit.

All participants must follow event rules as provided by the organizer. This is a low‑key, old‑school event with hand‑made bibs, lap counting via star stickers, and a course kept secret until race day. Runners may complete as few or as many loops as they like; laps finished after the official end time will not be counted. The event is a fundraiser for Ponderosa State Park trails, and all registration fees (minus permitting costs) go directly to trail work, trail education, and trail advocacy.

• Well‑behaved, leashed dogs are welcome.
• Reusable mugs are provided for aid station drinks, though runners may bring their own favorite mug.
• The event strives to be low‑impact: no paper products are used, and total trash is kept under one full bag.
• Aid and prizes come primarily from McCall‑area businesses.

The course includes views of Payette Lake and towering ponderosa pines. The terrain is varied, with each loop containing approximately 640 feet of elevation gain. No course maps or elevation profiles are published in advance; the organizer keeps the course secret to preserve the event's low‑key, fun atmosphere.
