Sharlie Shuffle

Immerse yourself in the serene beauty of Idaho’s Ponderosa State Park on June 5, 2027, for the 9th Annual Sharlie Shuffle. This unique endurance race offers both 6- and 12-hour options to cater to runners looking for a fun-filled day of looping trails through some of nature's finest scenery.
The event kicks off with stunning views of Payette Lake and towering ponderosa pines, creating an idyllic setting for your run. The course features a meticulously crafted loop that spans 4.79 miles, complete with rolling terrain, rocky paths, flat stretches, stairs, boardwalks, serene single-track trails, and even some pavement to keep things interesting. Each lap includes approximately 640 feet of elevation gain, ensuring you’re challenged but always enjoying the picturesque surroundings.
Participants can choose their own adventure by running as many loops as they wish within the designated timeframe. The park’s campgrounds will be open for those wishing to stay overnight and experience the full charm of this mountain oasis. A shorter 2.18-mile loop is available during the last two hours, offering a more manageable option if time constraints arise.
The race day atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with pre-race announcements just before the start and ongoing support throughout the event. Aid stations are well-stocked with quality fuel to keep you energized as you complete lap after epic lap. Reusable mugs will be provided for your convenience, although bringing a personal favorite is also encouraged.
In addition to being an exhilarating run experience, the Sharlie Shuffle serves as a fundraising initiative for Ponderosa State Park’s trail maintenance and advocacy efforts through Endless Trails, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to preserving local trails. Every participant contributes directly to this cause by registering or making additional donations on race day.
Join fellow runners from around the globe in celebrating the arrival of mountain spring at Ponderosa State Park. Whether you’re tackling the full 12-hour challenge or enjoying a more relaxed pace over six hours, the Sharlie Shuffle promises an unforgettable experience that blends physical achievement with environmental stewardship.
