There’s just something about small towns. It is where your neighbors become family, and a cause becomes a commUNITY. That’s what the Shamrock Shuffle for A-Rare-Ness & Run for a Cure means to us. It’s more than a race. It’s a movement of hope, love, and action rooted right here in Rockwood, Tennessee.

From the backroads of our little town to families fighting all over the country, we’re running for every child with MPS1, every parent holding onto hope, and every future we’re fighting to change.

This event started as a local race and has grown into a heartbeat of our mission: Giving Hope. Creating Action.

5K Run/Walk: Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a leisurely stroll, this 5K is perfect for all ages and fitness levels.
Family Fun: Bring the whole family for an afternoon of fun! 

Why Participate?
Every step you take brings us closer to a cure for MPS1. The Kennedy Ladd Foundation is dedicated to funding research and supporting those affected by this rare genetic disorder. By joining the Shamrock Shuffle for A-Rare-Ness and Run for a Cure, you'll make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families battling MPS1.MPS1 is cruel. It steals time, it steals ability, and it tries to steal hope. But we’re not letting it.

For Fun: $20 (not-timed)
All proceeds go directly to The Kennedy Ladd Foundation's mission to cure MPS1. Your participation helps drive critical research and support services for those in need.

Let's Make It a Tradition
Shamrock Shuffle for A-Rare-Ness: MPS1 aims to become a beloved St. Patrick's Day tradition that families look forward to year after year. With festive fun, community spirit, and a shared goal to end suffering, this event promises to be memorable for participants of all ages. Come out, shuffle, and make strides toward a brighter future together.

T-shirts: Short-sleeved, unisex shirts. Please note our shirt policy: Anyone registering after Feburary 23rd will receive shirts while supplies last. The shirt order will be placed on Feburary 24th, and when the inventory runs out in the RunSignUp system, there will be no more shirts. No re-orders.

Awards will be presented beginning at 9:45.

Race Etiquette: Due to insurance regulations, rollerblades, bicycles, and dogs are not allowed on the 5K course. Walkers are welcome! The 5K course closes in 1 hour, 30 minutes.
