RegisterStart your holiday season by giving back! Join us for the "See You At The Finish Line" Turkey Trot," a fun & festive 5K run/walk, benefiting ALS awareness. Whether you're racing for a loved one or dressing up in your best turkey gear, this race is for you! All ages and fitness levels are welcome - come solo, bring the family, push a stroller, or trot in costume! It's a celebration of community and purpose.
Race entry fees will help cover reasonable race expenses. All leftover proceeds will be donated to The ALS Association. Entry fees are not tax-deductible.
ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's), is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. It affects the body's ability to walk, talk, move, and eventually breathe. ALS is a fatal disease and there is currently no cure. Every 90 minutes, someone is diagnosed with the disease, and someone passes away from it. Your participation and efforts will go directly towards the fight to END ALS.
START/FINISH LINE is in front of the Ball Ground Library (435 Old Canton Rd.). RACE BEGINS AT NOON.
Join us for AWARDS & fun at City Park (177 Old Dawsonville Rd.), following the race.
Ball Ground, GA is a quaint, welcoming town, nestled in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains. Please make sure to visit our local shops & restaurants located walking distance from the race's end.

Ball Ground is a city in Cherokee County, Georgia, United States. The city was originally Cherokee territory before they were removed from the land and it was given to white settlers. A railroad was built in 1882 and a town was formed around the resulting railroad stop. The town was incorporated on January 1, 1883, and became an industrial-based economy largely centered around its marble industry until around the mid-20th century when the industries began to leave and the city started to decline. From 2000 onwards the city saw rapid growth; as of the 2020 census the city had a population of 2,560, which is over three times the city's population of 730 in 2000.
