Seawall Classic

The Victorian Seaside Spectacle takes place along the charming shores of Victoria, British Columbia. This beloved annual race attracts runners from across North America who are drawn to its scenic route through Beacon Hill Park and around Inner Harbour's picturesque waterfront paths.
Race morning begins with a cool breeze as participants gather near Government Street in Beacon Hill Park. The air is filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and saltwater, creating an invigorating atmosphere for runners. The 10K course offers a firm yet forgiving surface underfoot, providing both challenge and comfort to all who partake.
The route weaves past historic buildings, vibrant gardens, and iconic landmarks such as the Royal BC Museum and Empress Hotel, offering breathtaking views at every turn. Runners start near Yates and Pandora Streets before finishing back in Inner Harbour after their 10K or 1km run. Elevation changes are minimal with only slight undulations along the way.
On race morning, temperatures hover around an average of 12°C, ranging from a low of 9.5°C to a high of 14.3°C. Humidity levels will be at 80%, making it feel slightly cooler than expected. The wind is forecasted to blow gently with an average speed of 7 km/h, providing runners with a mild breeze as they enjoy the waterfront views.
Six hours and forty-five minutes of sunshine promise clear skies for most of the event, ensuring optimal conditions for all participants. The entry fee is $75 for adults and free for kids in the Kids Race (under 18 years old). Participants can pick up their bibs between 7:00 am to 8:00 am on race morning, just before the start at Government Street near Beacon Hill Park.
The starting point is located off Government Street in Victoria. Adults must be present and bring a photo ID for registration. Water bottles or hydration systems are recommended as no aid stations will be provided during the event. First-timers might find it helpful to arrive early with any last-minute questions.
