The 13th edition of the Scranton Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, April 12, 2026, beginning and ending at PenFed Credit Union Field at Memorial Stadium. The goal of the race is to provide a superior event highlighting the local area and in doing so, bring increased exposure and revenue for local businesses.
Please note the start times for the half marathon run (8:00 AM) and the half marathon walk (6:45 AM).
***BACK FOR 2026 - Run/Walk Category
We're pleased to offer a new run/walk category for the half marathon. Please select this option when registering if you plan on doing a combination of both running and walking on the course. As a run/walker, you will start at 8 AM with the run and will be timed as a runner. If you will be only walking the course, please select the Half Marathon Walk tab when registering.
**5k Run Cutoff time - In the interest of safety and to allow city streets to reopen as scheduled, there will be a 50 minute cutoff time for all participants in the 5k. This would be a 16 minute per mile pace. If you are unable to finish the race in this timeframe, your time will not be recorded.

Participants will receive a bib, and finisher medal. The 1/4 mile runs will start at approximately 8:15 AM on race morning. The 1/2 mile runs will follow the conclusion of the 1/4 mile runs. Please note that all participants must be off of the infield by 9 AM to ensure the safety of participants from the kids fun runs as well as the half marathon.

Half Marathon Walk: 6:45 AM (Sunday, April 12)

*The Doherty Double consists of both the 5K run only on Saturday, April 11, and the Half Marathon run only on Sunday, April 12, walkers are not permitted to signup for the Doherty Double.*

Bib/Shirt Pickup: Friday, April 10 at the Race Expo from 5 to 8 PM, and Saturday, April 11 at the race expo from 11 AM to 5 PM. Also available on race day at Scranton Memorial Stadium from 6:00 to 7:30 AM.

Charitable Giving: The Scranton Half Marathon has given over $450,000 in it's first eleven years to the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority for the beautification and safety of the city of Scranton.
