The Scenic Trail takes place on June 12-13-14, 2026, starting and finishing in Bidogno, Switzerland (Ar Gé 31, CH-6958 Bidogno). This event traverses the most spectacular landscapes of the Swiss Alps, offering multiple courses that range from a charity run and kids race to the demanding K120 Ultra, a true test of endurance for body and mind.

Event Logistics & Participant Information:

Registration Location: Online via the official Scenic Trail website. Race numbers are collected on-site in Bidogno.
Mandatory Gear: Full mandatory equipment lists are provided in the race manual for each distance, especially for K120 and K83 due to technical terrain and night running.
Aid Stations: Strategically positioned along all courses with food, hydration, and medical support.
Finisher Rewards: Every runner who completes their distance receives a bespoke finisher medal and post-race refreshments.
Course Marking: All trails are fully marked with flags and signs. Runners must follow the official GPX tracks and respect marshals' directions.
Safety Protocol: Medical teams are onsite. Runners must write emergency contact details on their race bib. No exposed or dangerous sections, but trails are technical.
Distance Changes & Transfers: Distance changes are possible after registration (subject to availability). No refunds, but entries can be transferred to another runner per event policy.
Parking & Access: Ample parking is available near the start area in Bidogno. Follow directional signs upon arrival.

Route & Atmosphere:

Scenic Highlights: Courses offer unparalleled views of the surrounding peaks, lakes, the Swiss Alps, and the Po Valley. The K18 features the Bigorio Convent, Lago, Davrosio alp huts, and a panorama over the Gulf of Lugano.
Terrain Profile: Technical single tracks, forest paths, alpine meadows, and steep ascents/descents. No exposed climbing. K31 and K18 are runnable trails; K120 and K83 are technical endurance routes.
Night Running Experience: K120 and K83 start at midnight under a starry sky, with cool mountain breezes accompanying runners until dawn.
Community & Volunteering: Volunteers are essential to the event. Non-runners can join the Scenic Trail family as crew or marshals.
Charity Component: The K5 Charity Run donates all proceeds to research against rare childhood illnesses.
Kids Event: The Kids Race is free, ensuring sport is accessible to all young participants.
