All participants must follow event rules as provided by the organizer. The course consists of three loops run counterclockwise in order: loop one (approximately 5.64 miles), loop two (8.2 miles), and loop three (4.3 miles). Solo runners complete the required combination; relay teams divide the loops among three members, with each runner completing one loop and tagging the next. The staging area is at Blue Tree Group Camp, about 45 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip.
The event takes place in Lee Canyon, Mt. Charleston, surrounded by wildflowers, trees, and wildlife including wild horses, mule deer, chipmunks, jackrabbits, and desert tortoises. The area offers a fresh, crisp escape from the city.
