About the Event

Gravel Festival. combines a running event across mixed surfaces, from asphalt to a skateboard park and sandy beach, with music, activities and gatherings, making it more than a running day. Its theme, Gravel Running, is a new running culture built on community, where people who share interests in music, food, fashion and sport run together without worrying about times or rules.
Two events are held: the Gravel Relay Run of about 18 km for teams of two or three, and the Gravel Family Run of about 2 km for an elementary school child and a guardian. The course looks out over Tokyo Bay and the canals and includes paved roads, a skateboard park and a beach. On site there are DJ sets leading into an evening awards celebration, plus pickleball, a monster jungle, food and vendor booths for runners and non-runners alike.
