Rutland Spring Half Marathon

The Rutland Spring Half Marathon, scheduled for April 12, 2026, is a scenic race that circumvents the stunning Rutland Water in central England. Starting and finishing at Barnsdale Wood, the course is renowned for its "unrivalled views" and "stunning route," attracting both competitive runners and dedicated walkers. The event offers a 13.1-mile (21km) loop that is primarily tarmac but features a distinctive 4-mile stretch of looser, well-trodden track through wooded areas.

The race is highly accessible, with specific categories for both runners and walkers. Participants are encouraged to use the free parking at Whitwell Car Park, which includes a 10-minute walk through a bluebell wood to reach the start line.
