About the Event

The 6th edition of the Runners' lab Bashir's Run will take place on Sunday, March 8, 2026. It's a race for everyone: From world champions, recreational runners, wheelers to neighborhood kids ... everyone runs alongside Olympic medalist Bashir Abdi on this fast and beautiful course. So the ideal opportunity to improve your personal best time in a nice atmosphere. The course in Gentbrugge is known for being lightning fast. In 2023, local hero Bashir Abdi dipped below the magic hour mark in the half marathon for the first time in his career. In doing so, it improved the 26-year-old Belgian record. This year the course has been redesigned and is even faster. While Bashir may have a shot at the European record, you will find the ideal conditions to run your best time ever. The course is officially measured and accreditation by World Athletics has been requested. So your new record will be official! Start and finish are located at the Wouter Weylandt athletics stadium in Gentbrugge.
