Welcome to RunLand Albuquerque!

Run. Play. Celebrate.

RunLand is a kids race experience designed from the ground up to help children discover how exciting running can be.

This isn't an adult road race with a kids event added on. RunLand is built entirely around kids. From the starting line to the finish-line celebration, every part of the experience is designed to give young runners an achievable challenge, a real sense of accomplishment, and an unforgettable day with their families.

A Race Designed for Their Age
Kids don't need to be experienced runners to participate in RunLand.

Each age group races a distance intentionally designed to be challenging enough to feel like a real accomplishment while remaining approachable for young runners of different abilities:

U6 & U7 — 400 meters
A short, exciting introduction to racing and a first big finish.

U8 & U9 — 600 meters
A little more distance and challenge while still designed to be achievable and fun.

U10 & U11 — 1 kilometer
A meaningful endurance challenge that older kids can be proud to complete.

Boys and girls will race in separate divisions against children in their own age group.

Our goal isn't simply to get kids across a finish line. We want them to cross it feeling proud of themselves.

The Finish Line Is Only the Beginning
Crossing the RunLand finish line is a big deal.

Every child will experience a real race-day atmosphere, cross the RunLand finish line, and receive a finisher medal celebrating their accomplishment.

But at RunLand, the race is only part of the experience.

After finishing, kids and families can continue the celebration at the RunLand Finish Festival, bringing together family entertainment, games, food, music, photo opportunities, and more.

It's a race, a celebration, and a family experience built into one unforgettable day.

Why RunLand?
We believe a child's first experiences with endurance sports matter.

Running can become a lifelong source of fitness, confidence, well-being, and fun—but that relationship shouldn't begin with pressure.

It should begin with a positive experience.

That's why RunLand races are designed around achievable challenges. We want kids to experience the nervous excitement of a starting line, discover what they're capable of, feel the pride of reaching a finish line, and associate that accomplishment with an incredible day of celebration.

Kids don't need to arrive at RunLand believing they're runners.

We want them to leave believing they can be.
