Run Willamette Salem Hills 5K & Kids 1K Fun Run returns to Turner, Oregon on Saturday, June 27th. The event will take place at the picturesque Willamette Valley Vineyards.
Willamette Valley Vineyards offers a scenic setting for runners of all ages. On race morning, expect a cool and comfortable atmosphere with temperatures around 65°F (18°C). The vineyard is surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery, providing a serene backdrop as participants prepare to run through the grounds.
Since its inception in 2019, this event has grown into an annual tradition. In recent years, it has attracted over 400 runners who support local charities and scholarships. At the start line, participants can expect a gradual elevation gain followed by a steady downhill towards the finish. There will be no aid stations on this course; however, volunteers from the community will provide water bottles at key points to ensure hydration. The race ends back at Willamette Valley Vineyards where runners and their families can enjoy post-race festivities.
