Run Wild 5K & Kids run- 2026

Join us Saturday July 4, 2026  7:30am   (sign up early! Last three years SOLD OUT!)

 Run Wild 5K -  --  Hosted by: Runner's High Club --- Benefit: Special Olympics Texas & Girls on the Run Greater Houston

Kids run(12 and under) ~.6 mile and starts at 7:10am,  all kids receive a medal, tank, sunglasses, socks and custom bib-parents welcome to run/walk with child!

NEW! All kids receive a cool super hero cape and mask!

This year we offer you, custom bib, awesome FINISHER medal, sunglasses, chip timed, a cool tech tank-Male/female cut, running socks, free finish video, and NEW MAGNOLIA BREWING CO BEER. Snacks, water & soft drinks provided!

NOTE: tanks ordered ~7weeks before race so we cannot guarantee size.  First 1125 to pickup packet receive a tank!  We order sizes based on last year.

Kids run 7:10am

Please note- due to City of Houston insurance requirements no pets, baby strollers or wheeled vehicles 5K run/walk. strollers okay in Kids run only.

OKAY TO PICK UP MULTIPLE  RUNNER PACKETS.  More than four pickups send us a list of names and tank sizes and we will do our best to have them prepared!(no guarantees)

Tech  tank shirt (male & female cut) to first 1125 to register. size not guaranteed-shirts ordered ~7 weeks before event)
COST: $35 until March 31, 2026, $40 from April 1 - May 31,  $43 June 1-June 25, June 25 - July 3, $45 June 26 - July 3, race day $50(register on phone only) (6am-7:15am), FYI: shirts are ordered several weeks before event, so we estimate sizes based on last year.

TIMING and RESULTS:  sign up for race day results.  Receive a text and/or email with your results! Run Wild Sports Timing using the disposal tag distributed at packet pickup.  Receive near real time results on your cell phone during race.

AWARDS: Overall Male & Female winners; Overall Master Male & Female winners; top 3 Male & Female in 5 year age groups 14 and under through 70+. Awards start ~8:45am, all kids receive a finisher medal!

PARKING: FREE parking  at Uptown Park Plaza, lock car and keep valuables out of site!

DIRECTIONS:
FROM RIVER OAKS / WESTHEIMER ROAD 
Take Loop I-610 north and use the left lane
Take exit # 10 (Woodway Dr./Memorial Dr.)
Merge onto I-610 access road
Take U-turn before Woodway Drive and head south on the I-610 access road.
Turn right on Uptown Park Boulevard (center is on the left) -OR- enter at the main entrance of the center from the West Loop
FROM INTERSECTION OF I-610 AND I-10 
Head south on I-610
Take exit # 10A (Woodway Dr./Memorial Dr.)
Merge onto I-610 access road
Center is accessible via Uptown Park Blvd or main center entrance along I-610 access road

Participants under 18 must have a waiver statement signed by a parent or guardian. Signed waivers may be brought in on race-day.
