Run, Walk, Roll & Law Enforcement Torch Run (formerly the Summer Solstice 5K)

The Run, Walk, Roll & Law Enforcement Torch Run returns to Delta, British Columbia on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026. The event will start at 6:30pm from the grounds of Delta Police Headquarters located at 4455 Clarence Taylor Crescent.
Race morning in Delta offers a familiar yet vibrant atmosphere. Participants can expect a firm and slightly soft surface as they navigate the route, which is set to be both challenging and enjoyable for all participants. The day’s UV index will hover around moderate levels, suggesting a need for sunscreen but not extreme precautions.
Continuing its tradition since 2016, this year marks the Run, Walk, Roll & Law Enforcement Torch Run's seventh edition. It has grown in popularity over the years, drawing hundreds of participants to support Special Olympics BC through fundraising and community engagement. The event is a highlight for Delta residents who gather not just as runners but also as spectators, enjoying food and entertainment following the race.
The course venue provides a unique running experience with its well-marked route that winds around Delta Police Headquarters grounds. Participants will run or walk on firm terrain, making it suitable for various levels of fitness. The 5K Race offers both adults and kids the chance to participate in this community event, with separate races including a Kids Run 1KM Loop and an extended Kids Run 5K.
The race also features Triple O's post-race dinner options available on site for those who wish to celebrate their efforts. Course details include notable landmarks like Delta Police Headquarters, ensuring runners stay oriented throughout the course. Elevation changes are minimal due to the flat terrain of the area, making it accessible and welcoming for a wide range of participants.

The race offers a 5K for adults and two Kids Run options: a 1KM Loop and an extended 5K.

Bib pickup is available at The Runinn #125-1315 56 St in Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall from Saturday, June 6 - 12noon to 5pm and Sunday, June 7 - 1pm to 5pm. On race day, pick up your bib between 5pm and 6pm at the Delta Police Headquarters location by donation.
The start is located at 4455 Clarence Taylor Crescent in Delta, BC. Participants must be at least 8 years old for the main event, while both adults and children can participate in Kids Run events. First-timers should ensure they have their race bibs, ID, and a water bottle ready to go.
