About the Event

As the chill of autumn sets in, runners from all walks of life converge upon Eugene for the annual Run to Stay Warm. Held on the Sunday preceding Thanksgiving Day each year since its inception over a decade ago, this beloved community event offers participants three race distances: Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K.
The races take place along scenic river paths that wind through lush greenery and picturesque views of Eugene’s serene waterfront. The flat terrain makes for an ideal course where runners can focus on their pace without the challenge of elevation changes. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out, there is something to be enjoyed at every distance.
Beyond the run itself, participants receive high-quality race swag that celebrates both the spirit of giving and the festive season ahead. The event also features an engaging after-party where runners can socialize with fellow competitors while enjoying live music and refreshments.
But perhaps most importantly, Run to Stay Warm raises funds for EWEB’s Customer Care Program, which provides essential support services to those in need within the community.
