About the Event
Experience the beauty of the Mississippi Riverfront on the Scenic Community Run and Walk Event, set to take place on October 17, 2026. This community-driven race offers both a 5K run and a more leisurely 3K walk for participants of all ages and abilities. The event starts at Riverside Park, where runners and walkers will be greeted by the park's lush greenery and scenic views of the Mississippi River. The route follows the riverfront path, winding through historic neighborhoods and past charming local landmarks. Participants can enjoy a peaceful morning or early afternoon run or walk while taking in the serene beauty of the waterfront scenery. The 5K course is designed to be challenging yet manageable for runners looking to push their limits on this picturesque trail. The terrain includes smooth paved paths with gentle inclines, providing an enjoyable and safe environment for all participants. Meanwhile, the 3K walk offers a more relaxed pace where walkers can soak in the surroundings at their own comfort level. Both events are family-friendly and encourage community involvement through local vendor booths, music, and activities along the route. The finish line area features post-race refreshments, awards ceremonies, and opportunities to connect with fellow runners and walkers who share an appreciation for both fitness and scenic beauty. Join us on October 17, 2026, as we celebrate our community's vibrant spirit and natural splendor through this memorable event.
