Run Like a Haggis MapRun - Braithwaite

Embark on an adventurous journey through Braithwaite, nestled near Keswick, with this unique navigation score event. Utilize an OS Explorer map (1:25 000) to navigate your way across footpaths, bridleways, and public rights of way as you explore the scenic countryside.
Choose from three course options tailored to different time frames—1 hour, 2 hours, or 3 hours—to suit your preferences. Your objective is to visit as many checkpoints as possible within the allotted time, collecting points along the route using the MapRun app on your smartphone. This event caters to all levels of experience and ability, making it an ideal introduction for those new to navigation challenges.
Registration takes place at Braithwaite Institute from 10am onwards, where you can also find toilets available. Parking is conveniently located nearby with a Sat Nav postcode of CA12 5RY or via What3Words ///also.flick.cost. The event kicks off between 10am and noon, allowing participants to select their own start times (note that the 3-hour courses must begin by 11am). All courses conclude at 2pm.
Upon finishing your adventure, refuel with a complimentary slice of cake and a drink provided in the entry fee. Gather around for an informal debrief session where you can share stories about your route choices and map strategies over refreshments.
