Run for Your Life: 5K Run & 1 Mile Fun Run & Trick or Treat Trot

Get ready to run, laugh, and maybe scream a little — it’s time for the annual Run for Your Life 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk! This family-friendly fall favorite winds through the haunted Ruby Grant trails, where Halloween surprises lurk around every bend.

Come in costume and compete for prizes, dance to live DJ music, play games, and enjoy local brews and treats at the finish line. Whether you're racing for time or strolling with friends, this spooky celebration is packed with fun for all ages.

We will be updating our charity partner information for this race soon!

This year Norman Parks & Rec is hosting a Trick or Treat trot for youth - this is at the race site but a separate event. 🍬

Warning: The 5k run will be adult-themed and include strobe lights and fog machines. This race is not recommended for people with epilepsy or other sensitivities to light, those with any health conditions, or minors. Please join us for the 1-Mile Run/Walk if you have any concerns.

✈️Top Run 5k & 1 Mile - October 3rd - morning race around the University of Oklahoma Westheimer Airport, ending at the annual Aviation Festival
🧟‍♂️Run For Your Life 5k & Trick or Treat Trot 1 Mile - October 17th evening family fun at Ruby Grant Park 
🎄Ugly Sweater Green & Grinchy 5k - December 12th, a fun afternoon race at Legacy Park.  Help us countdown to turning on the lights after the race!

⭐Race Day Registration will close 15 minutes prior to the race start at all races, and payment by credit/debit card only will be accepted for your online onsite registration should spots remain available on race day.  Many of the races in our series have been selling out!  
 
PACKET PICKUP:
Kick off race week with us for all races in the series at Beanstalk Coffee & Sno (3408 36th Ave NW, Norman) for pre‑race packet pickup! Keep an eye on the race website and your email for full current details as we get closer - and definitely treat yourself to something tasty while you’re there. 🍵🍧 

Race‑day pickup will also be available on site starting one hour before the race, but we strongly encourage everyone to grab packets early prior to race day, to skip race day lines and head to the start line on time.
