Run for the Trees 2027

Join Jersey Trees for Life on September 26, 2027, for their fourth annual Run for the Trees at Val de la Mare. This family-friendly event offers runners three distances to choose from: a scenic 12 km route, a more manageable 6 km loop, and a short but sweet 3 km course around the arboretum and reservoir. The race starts with the 3 km run at 9:30 am followed by the 6 km and 12 km races beginning promptly at 9:35 am.
Participants will traverse through lush greenery and along tranquil waters, enjoying a mix of woodland trails and scenic paths that highlight the beauty of Jersey’s natural landscape. Trail shoes are recommended for those tackling the longer routes to ensure comfort on varied terrain.
All runners receive a beautifully crafted wooden medal upon completion, while race winners’ achievements will be proudly displayed at the arboretum for an entire year. Additionally, there's a prize awarded to the top fundraiser, encouraging participants to raise awareness and funds for environmental conservation efforts.
Sign-in opens at 8:45 am on the day of the event, allowing runners ample time to warm up before their chosen race starts. The atmosphere is festive with support from local sponsors Deloitte and Evelyn Partners, as well as Rock N Road Runners providing organization and enthusiasm.
This event aims to become a beloved fixture in Jersey’s running calendar, inviting all members of the community to join in for an enjoyable day out while contributing positively to their environment.
