Run for the Rim 5k and 10K

The Run for the Rim 5K & 10K returns to Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania on October 3rd, part of Pine Creek's Fall Festival at Pine Creek Seed Farm along Tiadaghton Avenue and River Road.
Participants will assemble at Pine Creek Seed Farm early in the morning. The race kicks off promptly at 10:30 AM under the crisp fall skies characteristic of Jersey Shore in late September and October. Runners will encounter a scenic course that winds through back roads lined with autumn foliage, before looping into the farm's corn maze for an added challenge.
Run for the Rim has been an annual highlight since its inception in 2015. It attracts over three hundred runners each year who support local causes by participating or donating at registration. The race is a key fundraiser for Pine Creek Seed Farm’s educational programs, which provide hands-on learning opportunities to students and community members alike.
The course begins on Tiadaghton Avenue, offering flat terrain with little elevation change along the rural roads of Jersey Shore. Runners then venture into the farm's corn maze before concluding their run back onto familiar paths towards the finish line at Pine Creek Seed Farm. The 5K route is shorter but equally engaging, featuring a similar loop through the corn maze.
Race day weather in October typically ranges from mild to cool, with an average temperature of around twelve degrees Celsius and minimal precipitation risk due to less than two millimeters expected rainfall on race morning. Runners can expect comfortable conditions without excessive humidity or strong winds, ideal for performance during both distances offered at Pine Creek Seed Farm.

The event offers a challenging 10K course with an entry fee of $50 and a more accessible 5K option priced at $40. Registration is open until September 3 to ensure all participants receive race t-shirts, after which the price increases by five dollars per distance category for late registrants.
Bib pickup occurs from September 17 through October 2nd at the Jersey Shore Community Center (address provided upon registration confirmation). Participants are advised to bring a valid photo ID and proof of payment. On race day, all runners will gather at Pine Creek Seed Farm located on Seeds Lane in Jersey Shore, PA by 9 AM for final preparations before starting times.
