Lace up your tennis shoes and join us for a good cause! Ashtyn Runyon, who will turn 3 years old in November, was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in June of this year and is undergoing treatment at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s hospital. All proceeds from this race will directly benefit the Runyon family.
Every year for the last 12 years, Levi Ritz, a police officer with the Ottumwa Police Department, has hosted his annual "No Shave November" fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting a local kiddo and their family who are in the trenches of childhood cancer.
This year, Levi has chosen Ashtyn Runyon and her family. Ashtyn's family include her parents, Thayne and Madyson, and her 1 year old sister, Bristyl.
Ashtyn's treatments are expected to continue until 2029, with daily chemo medication at home, weekly chemotherapy at the University, followed by monthly treatments, also at the University.
Let's rally around Ashtyn & her family and show them love & support through this difficult time. All money raised will support the Runyon's with medical bills, groceries, gas traveling to and from the hospital, food, household bills, and other places as they see fit.
