Run for Milton 2026

Run for Milton 2026 returns to Milton Community Sports Park on September 13th, 2026, in Ontario, Canada. This event is a charity run/walk benefiting the Milton District Hospital and Mercy 4 Mankind, an initiative of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA). The race will offer both a competitive 5K for runners eager to push themselves and a family-friendly 1K fun walk.
Race morning at Milton Community Sports Park is expected to be crisp with mild conditions. Temperatures around 18°C, UV index at moderate level of 5.0, and firm but slightly soft surfaces make it an ideal day for outdoor activity. The park's location on Santa Maria Boulevard in the heart of Milton provides a scenic backdrop with lush greenery and open spaces.
This event marks its inaugural run as part of the community’s ongoing support for local healthcare services. Since 2018, Run For Milton has grown from modest beginnings to attract hundreds of participants each year—many coming back every September not just to raise funds but also to celebrate community spirit together with veterans, families, children, and seniors.
The course venue is a mix of firm pathways and slightly soft trails around the park. Participants will start at 805 Santa Maria Blvd, head east towards the main sports field, then loop through various parts of Milton Community Sports Park before finishing back where they started. There are no special features other than natural terrain variations to keep it interesting for runners.
The race starts at 12:00 PM with a ceremony at 11:30 AM and awards at 1:00 PM, followed by the family fun walk starting fifteen minutes later. Weather conditions will be pleasant; however, participants should expect some wind and occasional light showers. Layers are recommended to adapt to changing temperatures.
Registration for both distances can be done online via https://raceroster.com/events/2026/130676/run-for-milton-2026 at a fee of CA$50.81 for the 5K and CA$29.23 for the 1K fun walk. Bibs will be available for pickup on September 12th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, or early race morning starting at 10:00 AM with all participants required to bring photo ID.
