Run for Guelph is set to energize the vibrant city of Guelph this October, bringing together residents and local organizations under the banner of community improvement. This inaugural Run for Guelph event falls under the Mercy for Humanity initiative organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association (Majlis Ansarullah), an auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
The race is designed to foster a sense of unity and collaboration among all members of the community, encouraging participants to come together in support of Guelph General Hospital. The event aims to raise funds for patient care, research, and education at the hospital, ensuring that local residents have access to high-quality medical services.
Set against the backdrop of Riverside Park on Woolwich Street, Run for Guelph offers a scenic route through one of Guelph's most picturesque locations. Participants will enjoy a warm-up session followed by an opening ceremony before embarking on either a 2K run or a 1K walk. The event promises to be both fun and engaging, providing opportunities for all ages to participate.
Registration begins at 11:00 AM, with the warm-up and official start of festivities kicking off half an hour later. After completing their runs or walks, participants can enjoy refreshments while celebrating together during prize distribution from 1:00 PM onwards.
