The Rose Canyon Ultra will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, starting and finishing at the Butterfield Canyon Trailhead (8307 Herriman Hwy, Herriman, UT). Distances include 50 miles (5:00 AM start), 50 km (5:45 AM start), and 30 km (6:30 AM start). The course uses trails in Rose Canyon, Butterfield Canyon, and Yellow Fork Canyon, featuring gnarly ridges, smooth single‑track, meadows, dense foliage, and views of the Kennecott Mine.

All participants must follow event rules. Packet pickup is Friday, June 5, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Salt Lake Running Store (8946 S State St, Sandy, UT). Race day pickup starts at 4:15 AM at the trailhead, but early pickup is strongly recommended. Same day registration is not available; registration closes Friday, June 5 at 11:59 PM MT.
The 50 mile course includes sections: Start to Butterfield Peak Aid (10.8 miles, +3,664 ft), Butterfield Peak Loop (7.1 miles, +2,107 ft), Mine Overlook (5.0 miles, +1,191 ft), Yellow Fork Aid (8.5 miles, +889 ft), Red Loop (5.9 miles, +1,206 ft), Blue Loop (4.8 miles, +837 ft), and Finish (7.7 miles, +937 ft). The 50 km and 30 km courses share the Start to Yellow Fork Aid section (11.1 miles, +2,355 ft) and the final 7.7 mile finish section, with the 50 km adding Red Loop and Blue Loop.
The Rose Canyon Ultra is capped at 300 participants to ensure quality and access to unique areas. The event focuses on beautiful courses and an amazing experience rather than PRs. Proceeds support local businesses and community.
