ROGUE//RIVER

Embark on an unforgettable adventure at the ROGUE RIVER Challenge, scheduled to take place on September 18, 2027. This event invites runners and ruck enthusiasts to explore the rugged beauty of Riverside State Park near Spokane, Washington.
The race offers two thrilling options: a challenging 30-mile loop for those seeking an epic journey through diverse terrain, or a more manageable but equally rewarding 9-mile out-and-back run/ruck route. The longer course is designed as a self-navigated adventure using Gaia GPS's GPX track provided during the week leading up to the race.
Participants will traverse a variety of landscapes, from riverside trails where encounters with moose are not uncommon, to steep climbs along ridge lines that offer breathtaking views and moments of solitude. The trail conditions range widely, including rocky paths, root-strewn dirt tracks, gravel roads, asphalt stretches, and soft-packed terrain that test both endurance and technical skills.
Five well-equipped aid stations will be strategically placed throughout the course, offering essential supplies to keep you fueled and hydrated for your entire journey:
- Aid Station 1: Seven Mile Trailhead (4.3 miles)
- Aid Station 2: Carlson trailhead (9.8 miles)
- Aid Station 3: Pine Bluff (15.65 miles) – Drop bags allowed here
- Aid Station 4: Marchand trailhead (19 miles)
- Aid Station 5: Military cemetery trailhead (24 miles)
These stations provide Endurance Fuel by Tailwind Nutrition, NeverSecond C30 Energy Gels, and a variety of snacks to ensure you maintain peak performance throughout the race. Each aid station also features facilities for crews to cheer on runners with hugs, high fives, and higher vibes.
The ROGUE RIVER Challenge is more than just a run; it's an invitation to push your limits, discover resilience in challenging conditions, and connect deeply with nature. The event emphasizes self-sufficiency while encouraging support from fellow participants and crew members alike. A mandatory pre-race brief at 7:45 AM ensures all runners are well-prepared for the day ahead.
Upon completion of either route, every participant will receive a Phase One Training Tee and a commemorative patch to celebrate their achievement. The race also offers unique opportunities for volunteers looking to support this inspiring event with discounted entry into future Phase One events based on hours contributed.
Join us in Spokane as we embrace the spirit of exploration and resilience at ROGUE RIVER, where every step taken contributes not only to personal growth but also to a community united by shared passion and perseverance.
