Phase One training grounds are bare bones, raw and real. Staged out of multiple areas in Spokane to include the Reardan Cross Country track in Seven Mile, Riverside State Park, and Mt Spokane State Park, all providing beautiful and challenging opportunities to forge holistic strength.
I once heard someone say "Watch out, Fisch is going 'Rogue' again..." I never knew exactly what he meant so the mystery remains, but I do know that great things came from going "Rogue" in beautiful places while in the pursuit of finding my soul. Now it's your turn. ROGUE//RIVER is more than a race. It is a Phase One Mission - an invitation to train for adversity, define resilience, and find hope, leaving no one behind. ROGUE RIVER is an opportunity to search for strength within.
Starting at 8 AM Run 30 mile loop around Riverside State Park Run/Ruck 9 Mile Out and Back
This will be a true adventure! You will self navigate by viewing the GPX track on Gaia GPS which will be sent to you during race week. This course will take you on beautiful 30 mile loop around Riverside State Park. Your adventure begins by following the Spokane River while most likely dodging Moose for a few miles, then you will climb and keep climbing while chasing ridge lines you may have never known existed. Eventually you will make your way back to hand-railing the Spokane River which is an early indicator you are getting close to the end of your adventure. Your favorite trail running shoes will make plenty of contact with rocks, roots, gravel, asphalt, hard-packed dirt, soft-packed dirt, and all kinds of dirt and nature.
