This is an in-person run open to anyone who wants to take action for children and families while showing up in the community. Participants will run together through Philadelphia in support of a national mission to protect children’s relationships with both parents.
This run is part of a larger effort to complete 50 half marathons in 50 states—one each month—raising awareness around parental alienation, family court practices that separate children from loving parents, and the urgent need for children to have reasonable access to both parents.
Event Details
Meet at Geno’s in South Philly at 6:00 AM on Monday, 4/27
Run route: Geno’s → Philadelphia Art Museum (approx. 5K distance)
Geno's - 1219 S 9th St, Philadelphia, PA 19147
Philadelphis Art Museume - 2600 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy, Philadelphia, PA 19130
This is an unofficial, unsanctioned run. There will be no road closures or city accommodations—participants are responsible for their own safety and should follow all traffic laws.
Runners will have the opportunity to run alongside the founder of Mothers and Fathers Truly Matter, Bob, and connect at the Art Museum following the run. Afterward, there will be an opportunity to continue the conversation over coffee—creating space for real dialogue, connection, and community.
Parental alienation and unnecessary parent-child separation cause long-term emotional, psychological, and developmental harm. This run exists to bring visibility to that harm and to advocate for fair, child-focused family court outcomes.
All funds raised from this event go directly to advancing the mission of Mothers and Fathers Truly Matter. Contributions support our first-year strategic goals, including building a national advisory board of legal and mental health professionals, launching a public awareness campaign focused on children’s right to both parents, publishing research and data that highlight custody trends and the impact of parental alienation, developing educational resources for families navigating the court system, and expanding outreach to grow a strong, engaged national support base.
Your support helps lay the foundation for long-term reform, credible advocacy, and meaningful change for families across the country.
