Super excited to announce the Rob's Trail Fest! We are hosting a series of trail races in the 5K/15k/Full distance. We have picked october for this because the fall foliage will be amazing. If you have it in you to take on the marathon distance I can promise you two technical climbs (800ft each) on single track with some AMAZING views of both Hemlock and Canadice. All distances will be taking place on Saturday 10/11

The 5K is unique and probably one of my favorite routes. Its a point to point so be mindful about your carpooling. The route starts at Rob's Trail Canadice trailhead. You will start up a nice grassy light grade for 100ft, then BOMB (carefully) down 600ft of technical single track full of roots, rocks, trees, switchbacks and all the fun a trailrunner could ask for. THIS IS -17% GRADE for .5 miles on single track. Get to the bottom of the hill and hammer some flat gravel for the last mile and a half. This will be FAST and should be seriously considered if you plan to be a front runner. The 15K will start at the SOUTH end of Canadice Lake heading NORTH on the gravel road, crushing a LEFT turn and heading up an AWESOME climb on Canadice hill. a quick muddy loop and back down to the lake for trip to the south end back to start to finish. This is a FAST out and back, expect MUD! The Full Marathon! This will be such a great run. Starting at the SOUTH end of Canadice Lake, traveling up to the NORTH end for a little loop, then over and down to Hemlock Lakes WEST side for a short beach run on some cobbles, back around to climb the hill again, through some mud and back to to the start at Canadice Lakes South end. This is a super fun beautiful route two big climbs with two super fun downhills. 50% single track 40% gravel and maybe 10% paved, you'll get to see just how awesome the lakes are in the fall. I don't think we can be more excited for this opportunity.
Be excited! We are! We are working with a small organization to partner with the DEC for trail maintenance. Proceeds from this event will be contributed to the trail maintenance both on Robs trail first then hopefully some more local trail projects. More to come on that. There are no refunds, transfers, so on for this event. Note* If you are traveling in the night before and would benefit from car camping please reach out directly. We have limited parking on private property.
