Challenge yourself at one of Devon's premier multisport events, the Roadford Lake Triathlon, on Sunday, May 17, 2026. Nestled in the beautiful rolling countryside, this event offers three classic distances—Middle, Standard, and Sprint—all starting with a unique open-water swim in the stunning, normally inaccessible waters of Roadford Lake. The bike leg takes you out onto the quiet, scenic country roads of West Devon and Cornwall for a truly immersive ride, followed by a run on picturesque gravel paths around the lake's perimeter. Known for its friendly, professional atmosphere and superb organization, it's a perfect goal for first-timers and seasoned athletes alike, with team relay options adding to the inclusive spirit. As the main feature of an active weekend at the lake, the event also includes dedicated open-water swim races on Saturday, creating a full festival of endurance. With on-site camping available and the promise of a quality finisher's t-shirt and medal, it's an experience designed for athletes who appreciate great venues as much as great racing. The event perfectly balances a serious athletic challenge with the relaxed, welcoming vibe characteristic of South West sporting culture. Mark your calendar for a spring triathlon that delivers a true taste of adventure in a spectacular rural setting.
