Rise of the Phoenix - The Beacon Solstice

The Beacon Solstice Run returns for another exhilarating edition, now expanded to a 10K race through the picturesque landscapes of Leicestershire's Beacon Hill Country Park. This year’s event promises an unforgettable experience with enhanced features based on participant feedback.
For those who love running alongside their furry friends, the Canicross Race offers a unique challenge starting at 7:00 PM. Participants will enjoy a seeded start system that distributes runners and dogs every 20 seconds to ensure a smooth and safe journey through narrow trails and water stations. This method significantly reduces congestion and allows for more relaxed pacing alongside your canine companion.
The main race, also a 10K event, begins at 7:10 PM with the same scenic route as its canicross counterpart but without the furry friends. Both races are chip-timed yet final standings will be based on gun time in accordance with ARC and UKA standards.
In addition to the competitive spirit, families can join the Kids Fun Run starting earlier at 6:30 PM for a one-mile trek designed especially for young adventurers up to age 14. This event offers an excellent opportunity for kids to engage in physical activity while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Beacon Hill Country Park.
Participants will find themselves immersed in the serene beauty and tranquility of the park, with its rolling hills providing both scenic views and varied terrain that challenges runners' endurance and agility. The race is not just a test of speed but also an exploration of nature’s wonders.
