About Ripley's:

Ripley’s Aquarium of Myrtle Beach is excited to host the Penguin Dash 5K Run/Walk and Ripley’s Penguin Family Fun 1 mile walk/run! This family-friendly, themed event will be a celebration of the South African Penguins. Guests are encouraged to dress up and all ages are welcome. There is even a free Toddler Waddle taking place in front of Ripley’s Aquarium that morning at 9am.  This event will start and end in front of Ripley’s Aquarium at Broadway at the Beach and the route takes the runners through the Broadway at the Beach shopping and dining complex. Non-Profit Information:
A portion of race proceeds will be donated toward Penguin Conservation efforts through SANCOBB-  The Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds. https://sanccob.co.za/ In addition, each participant has the opportunity to make subsequent donations during registration. These donations go directly toward the penguin conservation.

Race Swag:

• Race bib (all races)
• Participant medal (5K and 1 Mile)
• Participant shirt (while supplies last-register early to guarantee your shirt size)
• Aquarium ticket for 5K and 1M participants valid for 1 entry 

Race Info:

• Animals are not permitted on the race course and will result in disqualification. Service animals as recognized by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted on course. Those participating with a service animal must inform staff at bib pickup and are asked to begin at the back of the race for safety purposes.
• Baby joggers, baby strollers, skate boards, roller blades, unauthorized bicycles or any other wheeled device are not permitted on the race course and will result in disqualification. Wheelchairs, mobility aids, etc. as recognized by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted on course. Those participating with a recognized device must inform staff at bib pickup and are asked to begin at the back of the race for safety purposes.
• Penguin Dash Run/Walk is a chip timed event beginning at 8:00am
• 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is an un-timed event beginning at 8:15am
• Toddler Waddle is an un-timed 50 yard dash beginning at 9:00am
• Registration is only online and closes Saturday at 6:00am

Race Bib Pickup:

• Friday, February 6 4:00-5:30pm at Ripley's Aquarium Myrtle Beach
• Saturday, February 7  6:45-7:45am at Ripley's Aquarium Myrtle Beach

Post-Race:

• Light breakfast provided by Ripley's Aquarium
• Overall and Age Group Awards will begin at 9:05am
