Rietvlei Dam Night Run/Walk - 11 November 2026

On November 11, 2026, runners and walkers are invited to explore the scenic Rietvlei Dam venue for an evening race that promises both beauty and challenge. The event offers three distances: 10km, 5km, and a family-friendly 2km route. Registration opens at 17h00, with the race starting promptly at 18h00.
The course is entirely on tar roads within the venue's Angling Area Lapa, providing runners with an opportunity to enjoy well-lit paths under clear night skies. The flat terrain of the Rietvlei Dam offers a perfect setting for those looking to improve their speed or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll through picturesque surroundings.
Participants can expect marked routes and water stations along all distances, ensuring hydration is never far away. Upon crossing the finish line, runners will receive a well-deserved medal acknowledging their achievement. The event also includes parking facilities at no extra cost, making it convenient for families to attend together.
For those who wish to contribute beyond just participating, there's an option to donate your race medal or additional funds towards the Make a Difference Campaign, supporting animal shelters and improving the lives of pets in need.
The evening atmosphere is lively with snacks and drinks available for purchase. Walkers are welcome as long as they complete their distance by 20h00. With no license required to participate and headlamps not necessary due to well-lit paths, this event caters to runners of all ages and abilities looking for a memorable night out in Pretoria.
Registration fees vary based on the chosen distance and whether you sign up online or at the venue; early bird discounts apply when registering online. Don't miss your chance to experience Rietvlei Dam under the stars!
