Reveillon de Loup

Join the Réveillon de Loup, an enchanting running festival that blends festive cheer with Louisiana’s rich culinary traditions. Held on December 19, 2026, this unique gathering invites runners to celebrate Christmas and the New Year through camaraderie and exceptional food.
The event takes place at Pelican Park Recreation Complex and Northlake Nature Center, featuring a scenic course of mostly shaded single-track trails that loop for 3.33 miles. Runners can choose from three race formats: a 3-hour sprint, a grueling 6-hour endurance challenge, or the epic 12-hour marathon. Each lap offers serene forest paths and gentle terrain ideal for runners to push their limits at their own pace.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming with family and friends cheering on participants throughout the day. A large tent near the start/finish line serves as a hub for nutrition, hydration, and unique Cajun-inspired meals that will tantalize your taste buds. Vegan and gluten-free options are also available to accommodate diverse dietary needs.
Crew members can set up small tents or use their vehicles in designated areas close to the course, allowing them to provide essential support during breaks. The race adheres to strict rules regarding pacers (only allowed for 12-hour runners after 2:00 PM) and hiking poles upon request. Leashed dogs are welcome but must remain outside aid stations.
As you cross the finish line, enjoy a well-deserved meal with fellow competitors and soak in the festive spirit of Réveillon de Loup. Prizes will be awarded to top male and female runners in each category, along with raffle items for all participants. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience Louisiana’s unique blend of food and running culture!
