Reading Triathlon, Aquathlon & Aquabike 2026

About the Event

In 1983, the Reading Triathlon made history as the first triathlon event held in the United Kingdom. Today, it continues its legacy at Kirtons Farm Water Sports Centre under the stewardship of Tri2O Triathlon Club—a race for athletes by athletes who share a passion for endurance sports.
The Reading Triathlon offers seven distinct race options to cater to all levels and preferences:
- Super Sprint Distance Triathlon
- Sprint Distance Triathlon
- Standard Distance Triathlon
- Sprint Relay Triathlon
- Sprint Distance Aquathlon
- Standard Distance Aquabike
- NEW! Sprint Distance Aquabike
Each race features a beautiful open water swim in the serene waters of Hi5 Open Water Swim Centre, followed by an exhilarating cycle around picturesque lanes through Burghfield, Mortimer, Silchester, Stratfield Saye, and Grazeley. The event concludes with a scenic run along lakeside trails.
The Reading Triathlon is committed to sustainability. Instead of distributing T-shirts post-event, participants are encouraged to bring their own swim caps. For those who can't resist an official race cap, they have the option to purchase one upon registration. Plastic cups at water stations have been replaced with a new collapsible cup that you can buy when signing up.
