RAF Shawbury 10k Airfield Race

Join us at RAF Shawbury on March 20, 2027, for the RAFBF 10k Airfield Race, an exhilarating run around this historic military base. Whether you're aiming to set a personal best or simply enjoy a flat and fast tarmac course, there's something here for all levels of runners.
Registration begins at 9:00 AM with final check-in by 10:30 AM in the race start area where participants will receive pre-race briefings. The event kicks off promptly at 11:00 AM and is open to a maximum of 400 entries, each contributing £5 towards the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.
Participants must bring photo ID such as a passport or driving license for entry into RAF Shawbury due to its status as an active military establishment. The race offers finisher medals along with trophies for top male and female runners, while all participants will receive goody bags at the event’s conclusion.
The airfield setting provides a unique backdrop filled with local food vendors and fitness promotions in the event village. Adequate parking is available; follow signs to access designated areas away from RAF Shawbury's main gate.
A key highlight of this race is its strict adherence to flight safety protocols, ensuring that no foreign objects are left on the airfield grounds—a rule enforced for all participants.
Don't miss out on a memorable run where every step contributes to supporting our service personnel through the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.
