RAD Half Marathon & 10k

Art meets adrenaline in Downtown Asheville. The 5th annual RAD Half Marathon & 10k — presented by Hunter Subaru — takes over the River Arts District on Sunday, June 14, 2026. Start at Pack Square Park. Run fast, downhill to mostly flat, USATF‑certified courses. Finish with a complimentary RAD Half Lager (gluten‑free and NA options) at Hi‑Wire Brewing, live music, and a custom finisher medal. Supports local artists and the RAD creative community.

• Custom dri‑fit event shirt (men's & women's sizes) — guaranteed until May 10. After that, shirts available for purchase ($25).

The Course:

• Start at Pack Square Park (80 Court Plaza, Asheville, NC 28801)
• Downtown Asheville → Greenways → River Arts District (RAD)
• Fast, downhill to mostly flat — ideal for personal bests
• Fully marked with route signs and course markings on the road
• Course maps available on event website
• USATF sanctioned and certified (permits pending government approval — subject to minor changes)
• Cutoff time: 10:30 AM (3.5 hours after start)

Cash Prizes — 10k Only:

• 1st place male/female: $100
• 2nd place: $75
• 3rd place: $50
• Must be present at awards ceremony to accept cash prize.

Artisan Market + Race Expo — Saturday, June 13:

• RAD Shakeout Run & Studio Stroll — 10:00 AM
• Packet Pickup & Art Market — 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM at The Venue (21 North Market St, Asheville)
• Local artists, makers, and vendors — original art, handmade goods, race merchandise

Race Day Schedule — Sunday, June 14:

• 5:45 AM – 6:30 AM — Limited / emergency packet pickup at The Venue
• 7:00 AM — Both races start at Pack Square Park
• 7:30 AM — Art Market + Post Race Party at Hi‑Wire Brewing (live music, RAD Half Lager)
• 8:45 AM — 10k Awards Ceremony
• 9:30 AM — Half Marathon Awards Ceremony
• 10:30 AM — Course cutoff

Appalachian Trilogy Series:

• The RAD Half Marathon is the 3rd event in the Appalachian Trilogy
• Register for all three (or four) events at once and receive a discount

Training Plans — Beginner Programs with Coach Jess:

• 12‑week beginner plans for 10k ($40) or half marathon ($60)
• Includes: progressive weekly plan, swap day instructions, one‑time coaching call (30 min), email support, PDF race day checklist, pacing chart, private Strava group
• Purchase during registration or through the Race Store
• Custom/advanced plans: 10% off 1:1 coaching with Coach Jess ([email protected])

Logistics:

• Parking + shuttles: details on event website. Complimentary shuttle from finish line back to start after the race.
• No dogs allowed on course (service animals excepted).
• Strollers? Check event rules — downhill course may be challenging; likely not recommended for safety.
• Wheelchair accessible: contact event organizers for specific accommodations.
• Virtual option available (half marathon and 10k) — includes finisher medal and shirt (shipped). Results submission required.

Refund, Transfer & Deferral Policy:

• Check event website for detailed policy (transfers, refunds, deferrals)
• No bib swapping or running with someone else's bib without official transfer

• Supports RADA Foundation (River Arts District Artists) — raising funds for local artists and creative programming. Goal: $1,000 — currently 42% raised.
