Proceeds from the event will support Rotary's Global Polio Eradication Initiative, which has been instrumental in reducing polio cases by over 99 percent since its inception more than three decades ago. Since 1979, when the first vaccination project began in the Philippines, Rotary members have contributed an astounding $2.1 billion and countless volunteer hours to protect nearly 3 billion children across 122 countries from this debilitating disease.
