The 2025 Quzhou Marathon is officially certified by the Chinese Athletics Association and organized under the guidance of the Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau. Hosted by the Quzhou Municipal People’s Government and operated by Jiangsu Ironman Sports Culture Development Co., Ltd., the event will take place on November 23 at 7:30 AM.
This year’s race will welcome 25,000 participants across three events:
Marathon (42.195 km)
Half Marathon (21.0975 km) – 5,000 runners
Mini Run (5.5 km) including a Parent–Child Duo Run – 10,000 runners
Race Format & Rules
The event follows the 2025 Road Running Management Regulations issued by the Chinese Athletics Association.
All runners must complete race check-in within 120 minutes before start time. Elite athletes must check in 40 minutes prior at the designated zone.
Participants start in specific pace zones based on certified race results from January 1, 2023 to July 31, 2025. The mini-run starts last, with each start zone spaced 10 meters apart.
A single gun starts all events. False starts will result in post-race disqualification.
Timing
Marathon and Half Marathon runners receive timing chips, activated when crossing the start line.
Timing mats are placed at the start, every 5 km, turnaround points, and the finish.
Missing any timing point leads to disqualification from ranking, even if the runner finishes.
Top 8 finishers are ranked by gun time; all others by net time.
Cut-Off Times
To ensure safety, the course will enforce section-based cut-off times. Roads reopen to traffic once each cut-off time is reached.
Runners unable to meet the cut-off must leave the course and may board event shuttle buses to the finish area.
