PUNJAB HALF MARATHON 2026 - 17TH EDITION

On Sunday, October 4th, 2026, Chandigarh will come alive with the vibrant energy and excitement of the Punjab Half Marathon. Organized by Thrill Zone, this prestigious running event promises an unforgettable experience for participants across all age groups.
The race offers a range of distances to suit every runner's preference: the challenging half marathon (21.097 kilometers), the invigorating 10-kilometer run, and two shorter options – a timed 5-kilometer route and a fun-filled 5-kilometer course for those looking to enjoy the atmosphere without the pressure of competition.
The event kicks off at Chandigarh Club in Sector 1, offering runners stunning views as they navigate through this picturesque city. Participants can expect well-marked routes with dedicated volunteers stationed throughout, ensuring safety and guidance along every step of their journey. Hydration stations are placed conveniently every one to two kilometers, providing essential refreshments for all participants.
For those who wish to warm up before the race or cool down afterward, pre-run Zumba sessions and post-race cooldown activities will be available at designated locations near the venue.
The half marathon route features a mix of flat terrain with scenic views that highlight Chandigarh’s unique architecture and lush greenery. The 10-kilometer run offers an equally enjoyable experience, while shorter runners can relish in the community spirit on either the timed or fun runs.
Age category winners for both the 21K and 10K races will be recognized with trophies at a celebratory awards ceremony following the event. Although there are no cash prizes, every participant receives a finisher medal, timing certificate (for those who complete the timed distances), and refreshments to ensure they leave feeling satisfied.
To enhance safety during the race, medical support is readily available along the route, ensuring participants can focus solely on their performance without worry. BIBs and timing chips are essential for all timed runners, providing accurate results that will be shared through email updates following the event.
Participants should note that registration cannot be transferred or refunded once it has been completed. Valid identification must accompany any requests to collect a BIB via proxy representation. On-the-spot registrations are not permitted, so early sign-ups are encouraged to secure your place in this thrilling event.
