About the event
Billed as a very easy-going run for all ages and abilities, this Imperial Palace event accepts same-day entries and even slightly late arrivals. Distances range from one lap (about 5K) through two laps (about 10K) to four laps (about 20K), plus a 20K relay. Runners may change distance mid-run, shortening it when tired or extending it when they want more. Organizers ask only that nobody gives up and takes the train home from Takebashi. The meeting point is near the clock tower inside Sakuradamon in Chiyoda.
