About the Event

Kickstart your New Year with true Viking resilience at the Powerade WinterRun on January 8, 2026. This is the ultimate post-holiday challenge: a 10km run through the dark, crisp heart of an Icelandic winter, navigating the Elliðárdalur paths under the cloak of a 19:30 start. It’s a self-reliant adventure against the elements, where the promise of a rejuvenating soak in the Árbæjarlaug hot tubs fuels every stride. Shake off the festive season and join the hardy local community for a run that is as much about purifying the spirit as it is testing your pace, all beneath the vast, starry Reykjavik sky.
